Founded in 1996 by 100 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women, NAPAWF (National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum) is the only organization dedicated to empowering AAPI women and girls and gender non-conforming folks to impact policy and drive systemic change in the U.S. NAPAWF is building a movement for social, political, and structural change by building a multilingual, multigenerational membership that encompasses the diversity of the AAPI community.
Employing a reproductive justice framework, we use organizing, advocacy, and communications strategies to assert full agency over our lives, our families, and our communities. The organization also stands in solidarity with other women of color facing oppression and marginalization. NAPAWF focuses on three core issues employing an intersectional approach that holistically centers the experiences and stories of AAPI women and girls:

POSITION SUMMARY
The Data & CRM Specialist will serve as the organization’s lead expert in maintaining NAPAWF’s data infrastructure. This role is responsible for the administration and integration of EveryAction CRM and VAN/State Voices systems to support cross-functional teams across organizing, communications, and development. The ideal candidate is highly technical and detail-oriented and efficiency-minded, ensuring data integrity, streamlining workflows, and providing actionable insights through reporting and analytics.
This position requires strong collaboration skills, as it works closely with internal teams and external partners to align data systems with NAPAWF’s mission and long-term goals. LOCATION
The Data & CRM Specialist is a hybrid role (few days in the office) based in one of the following preferred locations: Chicago, Washington D.C., or NYC with up to 10% travel. Remote will be considered for exceptional candidates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Expertise & Data Management
- Serve as the primary administrator on EveryAction CRM and VAN/State Voices, ensuring proper functionality, optimization, and integration with other systems.
- Oversee database administration, data hygiene, and security compliance to maintain high data integrity.
- Support cross-platform data synchronization, ensuring seamless data flow between systems and tools.
- Develop and deliver technical trainings to internal stakeholders to enhance data literacy and system adoption.
Data Quality & Operational Efficiency
- Implement best practices for data integrity, workflow optimization, and automation to improve efficiency.
- Lead legacy data cleanup and standardization across platforms to improve reporting accuracy.
- Manage system permissions, ensuring data security and compliance with organizational policies.
Cross-Departmental & External Coordination
- Provide technical support and data solutions for field, communications, and development teams.
- Develop and generate reports and analytics to support program and campaign effectiveness tracking.
- Serve as the liaison with State Voices and external partners on data-sharing protocols and infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships related to CRM and database tools.
Strategic Impact & Leadership
- Collaborate with internal teams to support and implement data-driven strategies that advance organizational goals.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce inefficiencies and redundancies in data workflows.
- Problem-solve in ambiguous situations and prioritize competing projects effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of experience in CRM/database administration, data operations, or a related field within a nonprofit, advocacy, or campaign setting.
- Technical expertise in EveryAction CRM, VAN, and State Voices with a strong understanding of data structures, tagging, and reporting required.
- Experience managing data integration, automation, and synchronization across platforms.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt in real-time, working with incomplete data and diverse stakeholder perspectives to develop effective solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop reports to support strategic decisions.
- Ability to train and support teams on data best practices.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on data integrity and compliance.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), or API integrations preferred.
- Experience in political campaigns, advocacy, or grassroots organizing with an understanding of data’s role in movement-building preferred.
- Experience optimizing data for fundraising, grant reporting, and program evaluation preferred.
- Experience leading cross-departmental projects in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
SALARY & BENEFITS
The annual salary range for this position is $55,300-$67,910 - salary commensurate with experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is expected to be 40% to 60% at the office.
